Near­ly 3,500 trees make up Gov­er­nors Island’s fall canopy, turning brilliant shades, providing vital food and shelter for native wintering species, and offering essen­tial ben­e­fits for Island vis­i­tors and all New York­ers. Join the Governors Island Nature team for free guided walks, held the weekend of the Island’s annual fall festival, Pumpkin Point.

Please note: these tours are held entirely outdoors on Governors Island. Please dress with the weather in mind. The pace is leisurely, with intermittent seating options.
