Plant walk at Clove Lakes Park
Welcome autumn with a search for late flowers in this botanical history and art project.
Join botany scholar and multidisciplinary artist Audrey Bartow on a lifelong community search for the wildflowers of Lenapehoking.
During this walk, we’ll hike the wooded and lakeside trails of Staten Island to find autumn flowers.
Together we’ll spot, identify, and photograph the native wildflowers in Clover Lakes Park.
All ages and levels of nature knowledge are welcome. Dress for the weather and conditions. Some periods of unsteady footing. Bug repellent is suggested. Potential for dangerous wildlife exists; participants are responsible for their safety.
