Dramatic Reading Performances

Featuring Stories:

  • “The Turned Out” (The Homeless Story)
  • “The Cowboy Story”
  • “Sín Pito y Sín Flauta”

This is a work-in-progress production. The characters were created by the participants through improvisation and the use of props. Each participant, either in groups of two or three, developed their character using the props provided by teaching artist Lina Beltre.

Participants were asked to write a backstory for their improvised characters. This backstory serves as their monologue. The script, which is part created by Lina Beltre based on the stories generated during the improvisation exercises, also incorporates elements of imagination and social issues that we encounter in our daily lives.
