Staged reading “Of Love and Resistance” by Eric Avilés

“Of Love and Resistance” is a compelling play inspired by true events, delving into the harrowing impact of the Chilean Coup of 1973 on one family torn apart by imprisonment and political strife. Through their ordeal, the play unveils the harsh realities of state-sponsored brutality and the role of the United States in supporting the rise of General Pinochet’s dictatorship. The play compels us to reflect on the universal struggle for justice and human rights.
