Broadway Of The Bronx: “A Juan Man Show Workshop”

Input your full name, as you will be included in a list for security to review at Gate 8. You must show a state ID and vaccination card. Once inside, make your way to the Speech Building where the Studio Theater is on the first floor.

Synopsis: A Bronx street corner hustler and part-time tour guide, Juan Angel, is taking his sweet ass time going legit, and when the love of his life, Vanessa, has news for him, he’s gotta take the tour of his life to find out the kind of man he wants to be.

Awarded the 2022 Bronx Cultural Visions Fund, this project is a Production Grantee, supported by the Howard Gilman Foundation.

The project was also selected for the Celebrating Diversity Through Wallace Artist Salon: Diversity Awareness & Hispanic Heritage Month, part of the Wallace Foundation.

Selected and awarded the City Artist Corps Grant, partnering with the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, with support from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, as well as Queens Theatre, where a virtual production and workshop was presented with support from Art Defined, Inc.

Originally conceived and performed onsite at The Hub, The Bronx, supported by Block-by-Block mini-grant from Rattlestick Theater, led by Cusi Cram.
