Letters Without Borders
An immersive experience of togetherness by combining traditional arts with mixed reality to tell the stories of migrants living in NYC.
Performance: Saturday, November, 26th 2022
On Saturday, November 26th the doors open at Culture Lab LIC at 4:30 pm, and the show starts at 5 pm. In the following 1,5 hours, the audience will be immersed in audio-visual installations, sculptures, live poetry, spoken word, avatars, and music.
Audience members can participate in the show themselves! You yourself can become a part of the show, impersonate an avatar, sample words and music, write a brief poem and share your thoughts with the community.

The workshops & open mic: Sunday, November, 27th 2022
On Sunday November 27th the doors open at Culture Lab LIC at 2:00 pm, the audience is invited to immerse themselves in the letter installation and the AI playground. From 3:00 pm the poetry workshops begin led by Nuyorican Poet Jani Rose, Alfaaz Karan Rathod, and others. Following the workshops, at 4:00 pm a celebration of the short works will culminate with an open mic featuring lead poets and the audience.
