Trials of Miles Racing is running back its Chase the Throne format. If you’re not familiar, it is a four-week head-to-head elimination, March Madness-style racing tournament. The first round of the 2023 competition kicked off on January 2nd in eight cities across the country. Read more about the event here.

On the morning of Sunday, January 15 we are serving as the HQ for their Williamsburg Bridge Segment Challenge. This is a 2.5mi (out and back) chase on the WillyB span, starting and finishing on the Brooklyn side. Runners will turn around once they reach the outer borough of Manhattan and return home.

The WillyB Segment Challenge on January 15th is open to all-comers, free of charge, whether or not one is participating in the official Chase the Throne NYC bracket.

For those looking to just chilllllll and instead do some casual “yogging” there will also be a simultaneous 5K group run celebrating this running competition on the same route. All will reconvene afterward in our shop.

HQ Location: Brooklyn Running Company, Williamsburg; 222 Grand Street location

Group Run Time: Casual 5K group run departs at 9:30 am

Segment Challenge Time: Runners will begin at 9:45 am sharp at the start of the WillyB walking path on Bedford Ave b/t South 5th and South 6th streets (~1/2 mile from our shop)

Coffee and bagels will be served afterward

Brooklyn Running Company will raffle off some gift cards and a few of their newest Originals pieces

Participants will be joined by the team from Bandit Running who will also be offering some giveaways

Change and restroom facilities will be available, as well as bag storage while running
