Sew and Tell Workshop
Sew and Tell is a sewing circle-style workshop where participants give their previously loved clothes new life through embroidery. Share stories about textile traditions, learn three simple embroidery techniques, and stitch a design onto your chosen garment. Participants may choose a design from a Queens-inspired “flash sheet”, or design their own.
This event is a part of the UKAI (Unearthing Knowledge, Art & Interdependence) Initiative by Little Manila Queens Bayanihan Arts. The UKAI Initiative is made possible by Hester Street and the Othering & Belonging Institute, with additional support from MoMA PS1.
