“Summer Breeze” Asian Brush Painting Workshop: Additional session
The American Buddhist Study Center’s introductory Asian Brush Painting Summer Workshop instructed by Rev. Earl Ikeda has been such a success that we’ve added an additional session for next Saturday afternoon, August 5, from 1-3 p.m. The morning session (10 a.m. to noon) on August 5 is already entire, but there’s still an opportunity to sign up for this added afternoon session right now. It also will be held in person at the American Buddhist Study Center, 331 Riverside Drive, 3rd Floor, in New York City.
The workshop covers “The Four Gentlemen” (the orchid, bamboo, plum blossom, and chrysanthemum) the basis of Asian brush painting. The brush painting materials will be provided, but you will need to bring a small face towel to wipe off excess water from the brushes, and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on!
Donations are appreciated. We are suggesting $15 for one session. If you cannot attend any of the workshop sessions this summer, we will offer the workshop again next summer. Stay tuned!
