Costumes for the Canal: A Workshop and Open Making Time

This hands-on workshop will explore how breath, movement, and mark-making can bring meaning to the flags we carry and costumes we wear.

Planning to join the Gowanus Dredgers for our floating art parade on the night of June 20?

Whether you’re in a boat or on shore, get ready with a Process-based Making Workshop with Danielle Butler. This hands-on workshop will explore how breath, movement, and mark-making can bring meaning to the flags and costumes we’ll carry on to the water for the processional on Saturday.

No experience needed. Just come ready to move and make.

Basic materials and tools provided. Feel free to bring more.
BYO snacks and drinks.

If you can’t make the workshop, you’re welcome to join for open making 8:00-10:00 pm and Saturday morning 9:00 am-Noon.

Time: 6:30 pm EST
