Bring the magic tactility of handmade arts and crafts into your digital games!

In this workshop, participants will collaboratively create a diorama of a cityscape, and at the conclusion of the workshop, will be able to explore the 3D space digitally. Participants will use felt, found materials, glue guns, and cardboard to assemble a diorama that we will scan as we go using the photogrammetry software, Reality Scan. Then we will bring those models into Godot and create a playable walking sim. Drawing from our team’s experience handcrafting a city in our game, Abigail, which is currently in development, this workshop is a celebration of the magic of crafting.
