Poetic People Power Book Reading & Signing

Join us at Puffin Brooklyn for an evening of poetry, action, and change with Poetic People Power

Please join us for an event featuring Poetic People Power, a New York City-based poetry collective that has been producing and presenting work on the issues of our time for two decades. The group will read poems from their award-winning book Poetic People Power: Three Spoken Word Shows for Social Change. A book signing will follow.

Poetic People Power creatively explores social and political topics, offering insights and solutions to issues that affect our everyday lives and the world around us. Their debut anthology invites readers to explore three of their shows about environmental heroes, women’s voices, and human rights abuses.

In today’s times of conflict and uncertainty, P3 poets offer words of hope, connection, and possibility for a path forward. This event will feature writers Tara Bracco, Shanelle Gabriel, Philippe Javier Garcesto, and Karla Jackson-Brewer.

Founded in 2003 by Tara Bracco, Poetic People Power has long used the power of poetic storytelling to amplify diverse voices and demonstrate how artists can be agents of change. Art + Action = Change!
