Hosted by Greenlight bookseller Micah, the YA Book Group is a space for the curious young reader interested in a curated, intentionally diverse, and broad selection of books. For September, the group discusses Craig Silvey’s bestselling novel Jasper Jones. A Michael L. Printz Honor Book, Jasper Jones follows Charlie Bucktin, a bookish thirteen-year-old boy who, after a startling visit from the town outcast one summer night, is pushed and pulled by a town closing in on itself in fear and suspicion. Made to witness a horrible discovery, Charlie’s secret is like a brick in his belly.
