The Cedar Lodge Book Talk
Join us on Wednesday, October 16th, for the first public presentation of Maya Meissner‘s The Cedar Lodge, an intimate, engaging, and thought-provoking photobook about her family’s close encounter with the Yosemite Killer in the late 1990s. The author, in conversation with Giada De Agostinis (Photo Editor, The New Yorker), will share memories, visuals, inspirations, and insights about her artistic project — and the disturbing story that lies behind it.
Copies of The Cedar Lodge will be available for purchase and will be signed by the author after the talk.
Maya Meissner is an artist living in New York and working within the mediums of photography, collage, installation, books, and performance. Her work often deals with personal histories relating to family, landscape, and the explicit relationship of the photograph as evidence.
