Hosted by former Greenlight bookseller Megan, our Tween Book Group returns and is geared toward kids ages 9 to 12, reading and discussing great contemporary and classic chapter books. Pizza is served, and parents are welcome (but not required) to attend.

For September, the group discusses City of Ghosts by V.E. Schwab, a sweeping, spooky, and evocative adventure perfect for the fall season. Ever since Cass almost drowned (okay, she did drown, but she doesn’t like to think about it), she can pull back the Veil that separates the living from the dead... and enter the world of spirits. Her life, already strange, becomes much stranger when Cass and her parents take a trip to Scotland, where Cass meets another girl who shares her “gift” — a gift she must learn, and fast, because the city of ghosts is more dangerous than she ever imagined
