Stirytelling “Myth & Mouth”

Myth & Mouth is a monthly family storytelling series that invites children and their friends and families to listen and talk about a story from our bookstore related to our exhibitions. Together, story and teller (myth and mouth), create an approachable and playful environment for participants to discuss together.

In these conversations, we value standing still at specific moments in the tale, looking at how it’s told, making connections with our own experiences, and honing our listeners’ own storytelling skills. Each session has two components: a 20-minute reading, followed by a 20-minute group conversation.

Myth & Mouth is set in our Café & Bookstore, and is presented by our learning staff, with occasional guest appearances by puppeteers, actors, or podcast hosts. This series happens every third Sunday of the month at 11:00 am. No prior registration is required, and everyone is welcome to drop by, especially participants ages 3+.
