Presentation of the book “Death and Exes” of Sarah Bridgins

P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Sarah Bridgins to celebrate her debut poetry collection, Death and Exes, with a reading, discussion, audience Q&A, and book signing. Death and Exes explore the complexity of grief and the author’s struggle to process loss through the consumption; of food, drugs, alcohol, pop culture, sex, and fashion.

Sarah will be joined in conversation by poet Wren Hanks; and novelist Rachel Lyon. After the talk, Sarah will sign copies of her book.

Buying and imbibing things are often looked at as superficial distractions that keep us from dealing with difficult emotions. In Death and Exes, they are touchstones that help remind us of who we are during the times we feel most untethered and alone. These are poems of mourning, but they are also a celebration of the life-affirming power of, among other things, burlesque, RuPaul, Dolly Parton, Hellraiser, and Columbo.

  • This is a free in-store event with limited amphitheater-style seating
  • We encourage all guests to wear masks.
  • The talk will be followed by a book signing. Books signed at P&T Knitwear events must be purchased from P&T Knitwear. If you would like a signed copy and cannot attend the event, we’re happy to take your pre-order. We ship to most places!
