5th Annual Poetry Fest. Jersey Proud: Hometown Advantage
Jersey City Writers honors home-grown wordsmiths with our 5th Annual Poetry Fest: Jersey Proud. Join us in welcoming poets from around the Garden State as we celebrate the words that shape us and the stories we can’t forget. We’ve recruited the poetic dream team. Don’t miss a word of it!
The Hoboken Historical Museum poet-in-residence Danny Shot has written about his passions for decades (How to Write the Great New Jersey Poem and Cars). During this combined lecture/workshop at HCCC’s The Dineen Hull Art Gallery (71 Sip Ave., 6th Floor), learn how to best express your love for the Garden State through poetry.
Danny Shot’s WORKS was published in 2018 by CavanKerry Press. Danny is an Associate Editor of A Gathering of the Tribes online. He was featured on the television show State of the Arts, NJ in July 2018. Danny lives in Hoboken, NJ (home of Frank Sinatra and baseball) where he is poet-in-residence of the Hoboken Historical Museum. He was a longtime publisher and editor of Long Shot Arts and literary magazine, which he founded along with Eliot Katz in 1982 in New Brunswick, NJ. Check out his website
ASL interpreters will be present at all Jersey Proud events.
