Hosted by our neighbors at Die Stammkneipe Brooklyn (710 Fulton St.) and led by former Greenlight general manager Alexis, our fiction book group meets monthly to discuss paperback fiction, reading broadly in contemporary fiction with the occasional diversion into classics. For April, the group will discuss Everything Under by Daisy Johnson. Set on the canals of Oxford, this electrifying reinterpretation of the Oedipus myth explores questions of fate and free will, gender fluidity, and fractured family relationships.
