About the Book: Raised in a close Jewish community in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, where her grandmother kept Kosher downstairs, and the family bent the rules upstairs, Ammazza! Blends Sterling’s culinary stories of a life and career dedicated to food. She shares over 100 recipes rooted in seasonality, soul, and a deep love for flavors. A standout cookbook for home chefs!

About the Author: Hillary Sterling is the four-time James Beard-nominated Executive Chef of Ci Siamo. She got her start in kitchens at Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill. Hillary also worked at Lupa Osteria Romana and was the Chef de Cuisine at Michelin-starred A Voce. Integrating a love of regionality and tradition of Italian cuisine with her Brooklyn upbringing, Hillary is a highly acclaimed chef with years of experience.

The Union Square Greenmarket Book Signings are produced in collaboration with Kitchen Arts & Letters, a New York City bookstore specializing in food and drink. Located on the Upper East Side, they sell cookbooks and a wide range of food history, scholarship, and food writing.

Attendance at this event is free and open to the public; registration is encouraged but not required.

Registration does not guarantee a book will be available, as quantities are limited and may sell out.
