Come by for the launch of two delightful picture books from author RICHARD HO: The Dinosaur and the Bird and A Flame Burns On: Lighting the Yahrzeit Candle. From prehistoric pals to heartwarming traditions, these are stories of friendship, family, and love that will remain with you long after you’ve read them. Join us as we celebrate them!

About the Books:

The Dinosaur and the Bird written by RICHARD HO

A lonely dinosaur has one wish: to care for another. When she saves an injured bird, a friendship begins. Together, they feast, play, and roam a vast and vibrant land.

But when the bright flash of a meteor lights up the sky, the world around them begins to change. So the dinosaur and the bird make a new wish: for life to continue.

Because hope holds on with a friend by your side.

A Flame Burns On: Lighting the Yahrzeit Candle written by RICHARD HO

Each year, a girl and her mom light a yahrzeit candle on the anniversary of an uncle’s passing. She was young when he died, but her memories of him shine bright and clear: all the times they went camping, read together, and how he was there for every birthday.

The mom and daughter spend the day exchanging their favorite stories. They laugh or shed a tear; they visit his plot. And his spirit lives on, rekindled in the yahrzeit candle’s flame.

The true purpose of her family’s custom becomes clear to the girl: to share, celebrate, and heal.
