IATP Fall Distinguished Lecture

On Friday, October 28th, 2022 Professor Boris Groys will give the Fall Distinguished Lecture of the Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program, hosted by Jack Shainman Gallery (513 W. 20th).

Boris Groys (1947, East Berlin) is a philosopher, essayist, and art critic. He is a Professor at the New York University and the author of many books, including Art Power, The Communist Postscript, In the Flow, On the New, and Philosophy of Care. Prof. Groys’s lecture will focus on the relationship between work and art in the philosophy of Alexandre Kojève.

The event will run from 4-6 pm. The lecture is free and open to the public. Please RSVP here. Please also feel free to circulate.
