Lecture “Risk Models for Inherited Cancer Susceptibility”

Dr. Giovanni Parmigiani will discuss the methodology, software, and implementation approaches of modeling multi-gene, multi-cancer risk using pedigree data.

About the speaker

Dr. Parmigiani is the Associate Director for Population Sciences of the multi-institutional Dana-Farber / Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC) and director of the postdoctoral training grant in Quantitative Sciences for Cancer Research at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His home is in the Department of Data Science at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His research investigates statistical principles and tools, often with a focus on understanding cancer data.

This lecture will be on the CUNY SPH campus, but those who are unable to attend in person will be able to tune in to a livestream of the lecture via Zoom. All registrants should RSVP. Virtual attendees will receive the livestream link after registering.
