Christine Love is the co-founder of Love Conquers All Games, and she’s been building commercial games like Ladykiller in a Bind and Get in the Car, Loser! in other people’s engines for over thirteen years. Now she’s creating her own Lily Engine because she’s convinced that she can do it better—in this talk, she’ll tell you all about the hubris that leads to someone building their game engine, the decisions that are going into it, and why you should or shouldn’t try to do it yourself.
