Lecture “Who is Mary Foster”
Please join us to learn about the amazing Mary Foster, a Nineteenth-Century Native Hawaiian Buddhist, Philanthropist, and Social Activist. Mary Foster’s blood was of Hawaiian royalty, and in October 1893, she met a Sinhalese man in Honolulu, returning to Sri Lanka. He was invited to speak at the first Parliament of World Religions at the Chicago World Exposition.
Our guest speakers will reveal the fascinating Buddhist life of Mary Foster.
