Lecture “’Plain Language’ in Delaware Corporate Law”
The Distinguished Jurist Lecture, “’Plain Language’ in Delaware Corporate Law,” will be presented by Justice Valihura. Justice Valihura will explore the role of “plain language” as an interpretative guide for Delaware courts construing corporate agreements, charters, bylaws, and statutes. This is not a scientific or linguistic study. Rather, it is a collection of her observations and musings based upon some of her experiences from her past decade on the Delaware Supreme Court.
The Lecture will be followed by a reception.
