Panel commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Free Speech Movement

In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Free Speech Movement, this session will probe the origins, character, and impact of the Berkeley student revolt of 1964. The session will feature a panel discussion, a short play, and a poetry reading.

The event will be live-streamed. A Zoom link will be shared with those who RSVPed for virtual attendance on the day of the event.

This event is co-sponsored by NYU Steinhardt’s Center for Practice and Research at the Intersection of Information, Society, and Methodology (PRIISM), the Department of Applied Statistics, Social Science, and Humanities, and the Department of Teaching and Learning and the University of California National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement.
