Let’s Talk

The Making It Through (MIT) program and Manhattan Community Board 9 (CB 9) are partnering to provide workshops on mental health issues affecting youth. The workshop is being offered for the West Harlem community at the Teen Center programming located at Graham-Windham’s Manhattanville Cornerstone Community Center.

The Tau Omega Charitable Trust Fund, Incorporated with a grant from West Harlem Development Corporation, sponsors the MIT program. MIT provides mental health tools to promote knowledge of mental health conditions and access to available resources for New York City parents, young adults, and high school, and college students, focusing on the West Harlem community. The goal is to increase mental health awareness and reduce the stigma associated with seeking treatment. CB 9 aims to make our residents aware of many issues and, with sufficient information, enable them to address them, like Health and the Environment.
