RIHS Lecture: Affordable Housing and the Future of Open Space
The speaker, Matthias Altwicker AIA LEED AP, will discuss the history of affordable housing in New York, how Roosevelt Island fits into that history, and how ideas of open space that were supported by this housing are being reconsidered. The event is part of the Roosevelt Island Historical Society (RIHS) lecture series, which aims to promote awareness and appreciation of the island’s rich and diverse history.
