Seminar “LaGuardia Community College Health Humanities: Interdisciplinary Approaches”

Please join us on June 1, 10 am — 2 pm, in the Poolside Café or on Zoom, to celebrate the launch of our new Liberal Arts: Health Humanities option with an NEH-funded event!

Featuring different fields of health experts, all invited speakers will share methodologies and practices in interdisciplinary educational training in health, health care, and health research. We are thrilled to welcome the following speakers:

  • Keynote: Dr. Maura Spiegel, Co-Founder and Associate Director of the Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons
  • Keynote: Dr. Leconté Dill, Associate Professor of African American and African Studies at Michigan State University
  • Interdisciplinary Panel:
  • Dr. Jameta Barlow, Director of Undergraduate Studies, Assistant Professor of Writing, Health Policy & Management and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies, The George Washington University
