David Palumbo-Liu teaches Comparative Literature and English at Stanford University in the US. He is the author of numerous books, including The Deliverance of Others: Reading Literature in a Global Age (2012), Immanuel Wallerstein and the Problem of the World: System, Scale, Culture (2011), Asian/American : Historical Crossings of a Racial Frontier (1999). His latest book is Speaking Out of Place: Getting Our Political Voices Back (Haymarket Books, 2021). His writings have also appeared in The Washington Post, The Nation, Jacobin, The Boston Review, and The Guardian among other venues.
