The Business of Show Discussion Series #1: “Meet the Founders of BTU”
In honor of Black History Month, Black Theatre United is excited to announce our discussion series entitled “The Business of Show”. This four-part series will kick off featuring conversations with the Founders of Black Theatre United, hosted by Ernst & Young, LLP (EY). Experts in many fields across the theatrical industry, from actors to producers, sound designers to stage managers, the Founders of BTU are eager to share their insights as Black theater professionals, discuss the genesis of Black Theatre United, the journey thus far, and what is to come.
“Meet the Founders”, will take place February 27th at 3 pm in EY’s One Manhattan West office, hosted by Broadway and television star, Angela Robinson (The Haves and the Have Nots, Color Purple).
Future installments of the BTU series will include such topics as the importance of EDIAB training, and navigating the business as a Black artist. Is there a topic you’d like to suggest? Submit a form through our website. We’re always looking for feedback from our community.
Join us in an afternoon of conversation as we explore pressing issues relevant to the Black theater community.
