Stigma Free Somerset County Mental Health Conference
Stigma Free Somerset County Mental Health Conference
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Stigma Free Somerset County invites you to participate in our first annual conference.
Mental Health Matters
The purpose of the conference is to build a sustainable coalition of consumers, family members, providers and other stakeholders that will promote mental wellness and recovery for individuals and communities. Through a series of dedicated workshops highlighting prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery resources delivered by coalition partners.
It is a frequently reported fact that 1 in 4 Americans are affected by mental illness and substance use disorders. When the dust settles and statistics catch up to the everyday reality of post-pandemic life, we can be fairly certain the percentage will increase. There will be a new “normal” for providers of mental health and addiction services. We are providing education to the community to bridge the resource gap and support residents’ health and wellness. Somerset County is fortunate to have a well established network of collaborative providers fighting mental health stigma.
Doors open at 9:30 am for registration, vendors, and breakfast!
