The film follows Wilbur, a young pig who is saved from slaughter by a kind girl named Fern. When Wilbur grows too big for her care, he is sent to a farm where he befriends a wise spider named Charlotte. To save Wilbur from being butchered, Charlotte weaves miraculous messages in her web, praising Wilbur and making him famous. With the help of other barnyard animals and Charlotte’s cleverness, Wilbur’s life is spared, though Charlotte’s own lifespan comes to a bittersweet end, leaving Wilbur to cherish her memory and her offspring.
