Directed by David Mirkin, this cult comedy follows best friends Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Lisa Kudrow), two quirky, carefree women living in Los Angeles who realize their lives haven’t turned out as impressively as they’d hoped. When they receive an invitation to their 10-year high school reunion, they panic about being perceived as losers by their former classmates, especially the popular “A-Group” that once tormented them. In a desperate bid to appear successful, they concoct a ridiculous lie: claiming they invented Post-it Notes. As their fib spirals out of control, the duo embarks on a hilarious journey of self-acceptance, revisiting old insecurities and ultimately learning to embrace their unconventional but genuine friendship.
