Directed by Paul King, *Paddington* is a charming family comedy-adventure based on the beloved children’s books by Michael Bond. The film follows a young, polite Peruvian bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) who travels to London in search of a home after an earthquake destroys his jungle habitat. Labeled “Please Look After This Bear” by his Aunt Lucy, the kind takes him in but eccentric Brown family though not without hesitation from the risk-averse Mr. Brown (Hugh Bonneville). While adapting to human life with hilarious mishaps, Paddington catches the eye of a cruel taxidermist (Nicole Kidman), who plots to add him to her collection. With warmth, humor, and a touch of whimsy, the film celebrates family, acceptance, and finding where you belong.
