“Chicago” is a dazzling musical set in the roaring 1920s, following the intertwined stories of Roxie Hart, an aspiring chorus girl, and Velma Kelly, a glamorous vaudeville star. Both women find themselves imprisoned in Cook County Jail for murder, and they both seize the opportunity to use their infamy to achieve stardom. Roxie, with the help of slick lawyer Billy Flynn, manipulates the media and public opinion, transforming herself into a sensational celebrity. Meanwhile, Velma struggles to maintain her fame and relevance in the face of Roxie’s rise.
