A cynical and arrogant weatherman, Phil Connors is assigned to cover the Groundhog Day festivities in Punxsutawney. After a particularly miserable day, he wakes up to reliving the same day repeatedly. Initially using the time loop for selfish gain, Phil eventually experiences a personal transformation as he learns to appreciate the little things, find love, and become a better version of himself.
