Lucy, a Chicago transit worker, has a crush on a regular commuter, Peter. When he falls onto the train tracks, she saves his life. At the hospital, a misunderstanding leads the family to believe she is Peter’s fiancée. Lucy goes along with the lie, finding herself unexpectedly accepted by this warm family, especially Peter’s brother, Jack while struggling with her deception.
