Movie screening “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (2011)

“Rise of the Planet of the Apes” tells the story of Will Rodman, a brilliant scientist working on a groundbreaking treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. He tests the treatment on chimpanzees, but one, Caesar, is genetically engineered to have extraordinary intelligence. Caesar develops a close bond with Will, but he also faces prejudice and fear from humans.

As Caesar grows older and his intelligence blossoms, he experiences the cruel reality of his existence — being kept in captivity, abused, and separated from his mother. He eventually leads a rebellion against the humans at the research facility, becoming a symbol of hope and freedom for his fellow apes.

The film explores themes of animal rights, human arrogance, and the consequences of pushing the boundaries of science. It’s a powerful and thought-provoking story that leaves audiences pondering the future of the relationship between humans and animals.
