A Haunting in Venice, released in 2023, marks a chilling departure for the renowned detective Hercule Poirot. Stepping away from the familiar landscapes of his previous adventures, Poirot finds himself in post-WWII Venice, drawn into a world of séances and spectral encounters.

Based on Agatha Christie’s novel “Hallowe’en Party,” the film adapts the story with a darker and more supernatural tone. Retired and living in self-imposed exile, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance held in a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective’s skepticism is put to the test as he investigates a case that delves into the occult and the possibility of the supernatural.
