Short film screening of “The Bookstore”
P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome bookseller & filmmaker Cody Lee for a screening of his sitcom turned short film The Bookstore.
“It’s clear that the director had no idea what he was doing, but that’s what makes it charming. Just normal people talking about books & what life will look like in 300,000 years from now. The music is pretty good. The editing could use some work (but who cares?). Working at a bookstore myself, I could relate to the employees when dealing with a customer who’s looking for a book, but doesn’t know the title or author, or when you recommend a bunch of books & they end up leaving without buying anything at all. However, this film isn’t an attack on customers; it’s a tribute to booksellers & readers everywhere.” — written & directed by Cody Lee.
