Family Film Screening: “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” (2022)

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is an upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther. It is a sequel to the 2018 film Black Panther, which was a critical and commercial success, winning an Oscar for Best Costume Design and becoming the first superhero film to be nominated for Best Picture. The sequel is directed by Ryan Coogler, who also co-wrote the script with Joe Robert Cole. The film stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, and others. The film is set to be released on November 11, 2022, as part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The plot of the film is not yet fully revealed, but it is expected to follow the aftermath of King T’Challa’s death, who was played by the late Chadwick Boseman, and the challenges faced by the people of Wakanda as they try to protect their home from external threats. The film will also introduce new characters, such as Riri Williams, a teenage genius who becomes the superhero Ironheart, and Namor, the ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. The film will also feature the return of Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, the main antagonist of the first film, who died in the final battle.
