Film Works Alfresco at Haven Plaza “Hidden Figures”
Join us for a free summer movie night at Haven Plaza! Inwood Art Works is screening “Hidden Figures” on a giant screen at Haven Plaza on 168 Street and Fort Washington Avenue.
Relax, connect with neighbors, and enjoy the warm summer night and this family favorite!
Enjoy this true story of a team of female African-American mathematicians (brilliantly played by Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae) who served a vital role in NASA winning the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union.
Programming:
Starting at 7:00 pm, Art in the Basin will curate an open mic show. Featuring: RM Thomson (poet), Betty Pierre (poet), and DJ Santiago (guitarist).
The film will begin at approximately 8:00 pm and will be in English with Spanish subtitles.
There are limited chairs, tables, and benches available. We encourage you to bring a lawn chair and snacks.
