Oculus Outdoors 2023 — Free Movie Screenings

Oculus Outdoors is a community event series at the World Trade Center campus brought to you by The Port Authority of NY and NJ.

Bring your own blankets or portable chairs and enjoy your very own one-of-a-kind, cinematic experience at Oculus Outdoors! LIMITED seating will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, with or without a ticket.

For 2 pm movie screenings, doors open at 1 pm. The movie plays promptly at 2 pm.

For 7 pm movie screenings, doors open at 6 pm. The movie plays promptly at 7 pm.

Walkups are welcome, but RSVP is recommended.

No rain dates. A cancellation notice will be provided 24 hours before the event.

Saturday, July 15, 2 pm: Up

Up centers on an old man named Carl Fredricksen who is determined to get to South America to keep a promise, he made to his wife, Ellie Fredricksen.

Saturday, July 15, 7 pm: Coming to America

Prince Akeem is the prince of a wealthy African country and wants nothing, except a wife who will love him in spite of his title. Escaping an arranged marriage, Akeem flees to America accompanied by his persnickety sidekick to find his queen.

Saturday, July 29, 2 pm: Luca

The story of a young boy (or sea monster), who experiences an unforgettable seaside summer on the Italian Riviera filled with gelato, pasta, and endless scooter rides.

Saturday, July 29, 7 pm: My Big Fat Greek Wedding

A young Greek woman falls in love with a non-Greek and struggles to get her family to accept him while she comes to terms with her heritage and cultural identity.

Saturday, August 12, 2 pm: Soul

A story about the meaning of life and the connections we make with each other. “Soul” follows a pianist, Joe Gardner, who falls into a coma, by an accident, before his big break as a jazz musician and seeks to reunite his separated soul and body.

Saturday, August 12, 7 pm: Ghostbusters (2016)

Paranormal researcher Abby Yates and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out.

Saturday, August 26, 2 pm: The Incredibles

The Incredibles centers on a family of retired superheroes and features Bob Parr, the father of the family, being pulled out of retirement to take down a new evil villain, Buddy Pine.

Saturday, August 26, 7 pm: Clueless

Clueless is a love story and a coming-of-age story. But above all other things, it’s a story about trying to be a better person, specifically about a privileged young white woman trying to be a better person.
