Directed by Peter Kosminsky, “Wuthering Heights” (1992) is a romantic drama based on Emily Brontë’s classic novel. The film follows the intense and destructive love between Heathcliff (Ralph Fiennes), a brooding orphan taken in by the Earnshaw family, and Catherine Earnshaw (Juliette Binoche), his fiery and passionate adopted sister. Despite their deep bond, Catherine chooses to marry the wealthy Edgar Linton (Simon Shepherd) for social status, devastating Heathcliff, who leaves Wuthering Heights vowing revenge. Years later, he returns as a wealthy but tormented man, unleashing his vengeance on those who wronged him while remaining consumed by his undying love for Catherine, even beyond death.
