West Side Fest: A Celebration of High Line Wellness

As part of our ongoing 15th birthday year celebrations, the High Line will host a special edition of its popular wellness classes for West Side Fest. The morning will be filled with rotating classes: tai chi, Senior Stretch, and Zumba! All ages and levels of fitness are welcome.

25-minute class sample for each below:

Tai Chi with Pin Pin Su

Tai chi — the ultimate mind and body workout, often described as “meditation in motion” — involves slow, fluid, continuous movements through formalized postures of centuries-old Chinese Taoist martial arts.

Senior Stretch with Teresa Cuevas

In this free fitness class taught by Teresa Cuevas, movements are specifically designed to realign the skeletal system, while gently toning and elongating muscles. Resistance bands are included in the class to create opportunities for strengthening and resistance.

Zumba with Maria Assis

Come join us to dance on the High Line! Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance movements such as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata, and many more. All levels are welcome, this event is free and open to the public. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes to move around in.

Free and open to the public. Advance registration is encouraged. Walk-ups are welcome. If it rains, this event will move to 14th Street on the High Line, which is a covered space. The decision will be made by 5:00 pm the day before and announced on @highlinenyc’s X feed. Registrants will receive an email if the event is canceled.
