On Saturday, February 24, 2024, the New York State of Mind (NYSoM) Group, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty in the New York City Metropolitan Area, will host a fun-filled winter event for the community at the East Harlem Tutorial Program (EHTP), a nonprofit volunteer tutoring program that offers help in homework for students in kindergarten through grade 12.

The event, called NYSoM Snow Day 2024, will feature a variety of activities and attractions for all ages, such as:

• The Winter Carnival and Arcade: Participants will be able to play winter and classic arcade games for a chance to win prizes.
• NYSoM Snowball Fight: Participants will test their skills and accuracy by throwing and dodging snowballs.
• Winter Movie Screening: Participants will enjoy a screening of the classic animated film Ice Age 2.
• Meet Winter Characters: Participants can meet and take photos with winter characters such as the Abominable Snowman and more.

The event will be free and open to the public and is expected to attract a large crowd of spectators and participants. It will be a great opportunity for the community to have fun, socialize, and celebrate the winter season.

The organizers thank the EHTP, the Forest Hills Asian Association (FHAA), Long Island Jewish Forest Hills (Hospital) Northwell Health, and other local organizations for their support and cooperation. They will also express their gratitude to the volunteers, performers, and sponsors who make the event possible.
