Newsstand Launch at the Schomburg “Lit Fest”

The Schomburg Center Literary Festival: Reading the African Diaspora — also affectionately known as the ‘Lit Fest’ — is a rich showcase of authors of African descent and expressions of Black history and culture. This all-day indoor and outdoor festival features some of the most talented writers and influential figures in culture today.

Join us at Lit Fest as we unveil Black Future Newsstand for the general public for the first time! Bring your family, friends, and loved ones out for a day of fun in the Harlem sun, and experience the newsstand outside on a beautiful Harlem Avenue.

Lit Fest is free and open to the public. Learn more on the page

The festival is built on the foundation created by Arturo Schomburg—encouraging freedom of thought, the relentless pursuit of Black history, and the engagement of our imagination toward our collective freedom.

We can’t wait to see you there.
