1WorldFestGlobal promotes the embracing of Diversity, Tolerance, and Inclusion as a goal. It is not a statement of some sort of false panacea that everything is ok. It is the realization that as human beings we are all imbued with unique qualities that make us different and binding humanity that bonds us at a root existential level. It is a vision that must be strived for through self-actualization, cultural appreciation, and sharing and understanding that we are all part of the divine. It is a vision that must be seen through a prism of the cold hard reality that none of us are safe until the most vulnerable among us is safe. When I say vulnerable, I don’t mean physically weak. I mean those most vulnerable to the flagrant inequity that currently exists in our institutions, our body politic, and our stated democracy.

We built this organization because we thought that exposing people to folks of different cultural backgrounds, it would help to alleviate the fear that is used to divide us as human beings.

We still have much work to do!
